When this CM2 teacher questioned her students, she did not expect certain answers.
What is your biggest dream? This question, many have already heard it … or have been asked themselves. In general, when you are an adult, you answer it by taking the time to reflect, you imagine what is really feasible, you dream while keeping a certain restraint. But when they are made to 10 -year -old children, the answers take on another dimension. At this age when everything still seems possible, dreams are filter without filter, between amazing projects and adorable desires. This is noted by Amélie, mistress in small section and medium section, alias @AMELDFR on Tiktok, by questioning her CM2 students for a writing exercise: behind the innocence of words, some projects say a lot about their deep aspirations.
In a video posted on social networks, which already has more than 800,000 views, this teacher shared the touching and sometimes surprising responses of her students. One of them wrote without hesitation: “My biggest dream is to be a humorist to earn a lot of money and to share the best moments with my family.” Another has noted, just as seriously: “My dream is to sell my brother and my sister.” A third student gave an answer that made him laugh, because he thought of her in his dream: “My biggest dream is to be rich, because I want a Ferrari and a Bugatti, villas, give money to associations … and offer a Ferrari to the mistress.”
At 10, some students are mostly generous. One of them wrote: “My biggest dream is to help lots of people, give refuge to abandoned animals, give food to poor people and people who have no money, and who are not lucky to have a crossroads next to their home.” A touching response full of spontaneity, which shows how sensitive children can be the inequalities around them. In some responses, the teacher also perceived how some young children are already quite anxious in the news and what they hear in the media or on social networks …
One of them wrote in his notebook: “My dream is that there are only good news in the world, that climate change returns to normal, that we can go outside in complete safety and that there is no more killer.” Strong words, which show that even at 10 years old, children are not indifferent to the challenges of the world. In general, the children responded with their hearts, frankly, and that is what is all the more touching!
