What is the daily support for people at the end of their lives (AJAP)?
The daily allowance for supporting people at the end of their lives is an aid that can be paid to the accompanying people at home A loved one. The self -employed caregiver
The self-employed worker (self-entrepreneur, liberal …) can claim the AJAP if he has interrupted or reduced his professional activity to support the person at the end of life.
The caregiver who is employed by France work
To benefit from the AJAP, the job seeker must imperatively be in one of the following situations:
- to be an ascendant, a descendant, a brother or sister or a person of confidence of the accompanied person;
- Share the same home as this person.
Note : a trusted person can be a relative, close or the attending physician. This designation must be made in writing by the patient.
What is the daily amount of the AJAP in 2025?
The amount of the allowance and the duration of payment are identical, regardless of the professional status of the beneficiary.
Since April 1, 2025, the amount of the allowance has been set to 64.41 euros per day. This amount is reduced by 50 %, or 32.21 euros If the employee has transformed his family solidarity leave into part -time activity or if the independent has reduced his part -time activity.

The AJAP request file must include:
- A certificate completed by the employer, specifying that the employee benefits from family solidarity leave (or that he has transformed it into a part -time activity period);

The amount of the AJAP is reduced to 6.2 % under the CSG and 0.5 % under the CRDS. It is also subject to income tax which is deducted directly from the source according to the rate calculated and automatically transmitted by the tax administration.
