If he was no longer really up to standards in terms of electricity or plumbing, this apartment in the 60s had the merit of having large bay windows. A non-negligible asset which offers (usually) a beautiful brightness. However, the light struggled to deploy in this 56 m² of the 7th Parisian arrondissement, the fault in terms of, far too compartmentalized. In general, he needed to gain fluidity to meet the needs of new owners. Joséphine Balayn, interior designer and designer of objects, relied on the existing to offer a complete rereading of the apartment.
A carte white under the sign of color
Bringing color was the only requirement of new owners in terms of atmosphere. The carte blanche by Joséphine Balayn was quickly tinged with terracotta, beige, a solar yellow and a gray generously pulling on green. These colors, chosen for their complementarity, also helped structure the volume after the decompartmentalization of the corridor and the kitchen. More colorful, brighter and more fluid, the apartment turned the page about forty years without work. A creative renewal that could well inspire other renovations.
