Thieves today have very developed techniques to bypass the safety options of our mobile phones and prevent their location by deactivating WiFi and mobile data. Only one gesture is enough, and it becomes very difficult to find the stolen phone. Fortunately there are tips to prevent them, on Android and on iPhone! Follow the leader.
We always recommend not to use your smartphone by walking in the street or in public transport, but it is sometimes difficult to help it. Draw flights are frequent, and pickpockets manage to easily steal a phone in a pocket or even in a handbag. And once the phone is stolen, it is unfortunately rare to be able to recover it. On Tiktok, the AI trainer and speaker Disiz Yyov made two very didactic videos to explain how to protect his phone.
On Android, just press the side button on the smartphone to reveal a menu. You must then click on “Settings of the side key”, select “Pred for a long time” and choose the first option “Google digital assistant”. Result, if the thief press the side button to try to turn off the phone, the menu that appears to turn it off will no longer appear.
Then go to the settings and select “Lock screen and AOD”, then click on “Secure locking settings”. We then enter the phone code and land in a secret menu where you have to select the “Lock Network and Security” option. Result ? To cut wifi or mobile data, the thief must enter the phone code.
To perform the same manipulation on iPhone, the path is a little different. You have to go to the settings and select “Face Id and Passcode”. We then go down to activate the “Control Center” function. Thus, an ill -intentioned person will not be able to deactivate WiFi or mobile data on the home screen from the control center, nor put the phone in plane mode. In Face ID, we also activate the “Protection in case of device flight”. Thanks to these few tips, your smartphone will now be well protected!
