Green plants have invaded our interiors. But should we really crack for artificial plants, however realistic they are? Here are the advantages and disadvantages of these false plants more real than life to help you decide.
For or against? The false plants leave no one indifferent. On the one hand, there are those who love their practical side. On the other, those who find them soulless and not very ecological. Everyone has their arguments, and the debate is far from closing.
The advent of false plants has given hope to all the murderers of cactus, aloe vera, pile, monstera … finished the thirsty plants and those drowned, with the artificial versions, the leaves remain high and very green until the desire for change separates you. Also exit the constraints of light which forced to concentrate the plants in the same place: all the rooms can now be vegetated in the blink of an eye. And artificial plants do not only satisfy their owners, because the neighbors are also grateful not to be requisitioned for watering during the holidays.
When you are in love with nature, the idea of replacing your pretty green plants with plastic models can indeed put off. We are not even talking about the frozen aspect of the false plants that will make those who really have the green hand lose interest and appreciate pampering their inner garden. On the ecology side, we too go back! And then having to make the dust of the plant, ultimately, it is still maintenance, so as much to opt for a living model, right? Verdict? If we sometimes let ourselves be bluffed by false plants, for writing, they do not replace beauty (fragile, it’s true) of nature. We therefore do not exchange all the plants of the house against artificial models, but we use them on the other hand as an alternative. For example, they will be ideal in spaces that lack light or when the owner does not really know how to go about greenery. It will then be imperative to choose a quality model which reproduces as closely as possible the natural colors and textures. We therefore do not hesitate to put the price there and we do not forget to do the dust either from time to time.
