Habitable as it is, but too neutral on the decoration side, this duplex expected only renovation to reflect the style of its new owners. For three months, Studio Bluen and Little Worker imagined a colorful transformation. Focus on the space of reception of the premises, which greatly needed to be awake.
It was on the 5ᵉ floor of a building in the Viᵉ arrondissement of Lyon, one of the most popular districts in the city, that Laure and Romain set their suitcases after several years spent in Greece. Their new 180 m² duplex, partly under the roofs, with exposed beams, chimneys and mezzanine to be fitted out, offered a unique playground. Inspired by their life in the sun, they had warm interior desires, living and imbued with this Mediterranean spirit.
To transform this large all white space, too white, they called on Bluen de Préneuf, founder of the Bluen studio, who collaborated for the first time with Little Worker, the real estate reconditioning agency that we no longer present. Together, they restored character and colors to the apartment. Majorelle blue, coral, yellow: the daring palette guided all the renovation.
The charm of the old has been preserved and sublimated by a contemporary decoration punctuated by winks on the trip, a touch of street art and integrated storage tips everywhere. Result: a creative and bright apartment, which mixes assertive style and vacation air without leaving Lyon.
Starting with its entry. When the family pushes the door of their new home for the first time, they discovered an entry to the image of the rest of the duplex: all white, awaiting color and personality.
After the passage of the space designer and interior decoration, Bluen de Préneuf and Little Worker, the tone is set! The duplex finally reflects the personality of the family. The walls, dressed in a cobalt blue, bring character and go perfectly with the original, sanded and vitrified parquet. Called Perl, in the blink of an eye to the rare pearl sought by Laure and Romain, the project now accompanies the daily life of their two teenagers.
From the original sobriety to the audacity of colors, this duplex found its true identity. A bright and creative place, faithful to the desires of its inhabitants, where the charm of the old dialogue with the energy of an interior designed to last.
