What is the education allowance for the disabled child (AEEH)?
This financial aid is intended to help parents face the costs caused by the disability of their child under the age of 20. How long is the AEEH payment by CAF?
The time of payment of the AEEH is determined by the CDAPH as a function of the child’s incapacity rate.
- For an incapacity rate of at least 80 % without a prospect of favorable evolution, the basic AEEH and the complements are paid until the child can perceive AAH or until the limit age to perceive family benefits.
- For an incapacity rate of at least 80 % with favorable prospects, rights are open for a period between 3 and 5 years old.
- For an incapacity rate between 50 % and 79 %, Rights are granted for a period between two years and five years.
