No one was expecting him anymore.
France is the country of fashion and yet, unlike its Anglo-Saxon counterparts, it currently does not have any program that really highlights it on our television screens. Twenty years ago, however, the situation was different: television shows on creative professions and the fashion sphere abounded, notably on a star channel in the French audiovisual landscape: M6. The headliner of these shows? The “magnifaïk” Cristina Cordula.
Good news for nostalgic fans: in a few weeks, the fashionista returns to host, on RMC Lifea show whose broadcast was stopped in 2016. In this TV show, eight candidates passionate about sewing must compete in technical tests during which they are judged by two professionals in the field. Among them, Morgane Jeudy, sewing teacher and Régine Pronost, workshop manager who has worked for renowned fashion houses.
The famous image consultant will have the role of presenting the show with the chatter that we know. On Wednesday, April 1 at 9:10 p.m. sharp, viewers will be able to count on his legendary repartee to launch the various events and encourage the eight amateur designers. TV lovers will have understood: it’s the show “Hand-sewn” which is making its comeback after ten years of absence.
The new version will use the codes that made the previous one successful. Thus, in each episode, two tests will be imposed on the participants: the first will be a technical test based on a pattern, while the second will consist of a customization challenge.
A boon for the young channel but also for the Brazilian: “I couldn’t refuse this show, which is a bit like my baby. It made sense to accept, I couldn’t see anyone else hosting the program. It’s a show that I’ve put all my heart into, I’ve done several seasons, I love the theme and the atmosphere which are in tune with the times, as well as the teams”she explains in the press release. See you on April 1st to dive back into this television memory.
