Aïnhoa Lahitete: “I wanted to be a boy just so…“
Aïnhoa Lahitete is 19 years old, she is 1m73 tall and is a law student at the University of Bayonne. If she first tried a year of medicine, dreaming of becoming a dentist, the Hendayaise ultimately reoriented herself towards law. But she doesn’t rule out trying her luck in the medical field one day.
Passionate about rugby since adolescence, Aïnhoa Lahitete herself played for Stade Hendayais and for Urrugne before finally focusing on her studies.
“We can be feminine (as evidenced by her multiple photos in swimsuits and other photoshoots on Instagram, editor’s note) and play rugby. I wanted to be a boy just to be a professional rugby player. I tell my brother all the time: ‘you’re lucky’. Three quarters of girls must have a job on the side, they don’t just make a living from that”she confided in an interview with Her Story.
Aïnhoa Lahitete close to his family: what do we know about his clan?
Aïnhoa Lahitete has a twin sister named Loréna. As for his brother, he is a professional rugby player. “My grandfather, my father and my uncle played at Stade Hendayais. My brother is at the rugby center in Bayonne and plays at Aviron (Bayonnais, editor’s note)”she told Southwest.
The one who describes herself as a young woman “frank, sincere, always smiling and sociable” but “a bit airheaded” will therefore try his luck in the race for the crown on December 6 at the Zénith in Amiens. A major challenge for the student since the only Miss Basque Country to have ever won the crown of Miss France was Agnès Souret… In 1920!
