After 11 years of absence from the world of beauty, Agnès b. signs a resounding return with two new fragrances. The opportunity to meet the stylist.
She’s finally back. More than a decade after the definitive closure of the Club des Créateurs de Beauté, where Agnès b. was selling her cosmetics, the Parisian stylist surprised us with a fragrant return. Two creations in the image of Agnès Troublé: contemporary, subversive and uncompromising. Zoom.
Remember, in 1987, she unveiled her first emblematic perfume soberly named “Le b.”. At the time, the juice was a real hit and the stylist did not want to stop there. Four other fragrances then follow, including one specially designed for children. The rest, we know: the brand is withdrawing from the world of beauty, leaving fans orphaned by perfume. And then, in 2025, finally the good news: Agnès b. launches two new products. As usual, she focuses on sobriety for the names: Le Parfum and L’Eau. When asked why this return to forgotten loves, the answer is raw and honest: “OHe asked me.“A testimony, if one were needed, of the place these initials occupied in the world of beauty.”For me it’s a lot of good memories“, she assures. First sold only in the brand’s boutiques, and on the website, these perfumes are on sale today in Marionnaud boutiques.
Imagined by four hands (or two noses) with the perfumer Isaac Sinclair, these two fragrances were built around the mock orange that Agnès Troublé grows in her garden. In Le Parfum, this luminous flower combines with saffron, an unexpected and innovative idea from the stylist. There is also tuberose absolute, musk, sandalwood and ambergris. For its part, L’Eau is lighter: mock orange dances with peony, jasmine, magnolia, and musk. “It’s flowery, but in a modern way which isn’t easy, I think. Especially with white flowers. But the result is there“, tells us Agnès b. To arrive at these perfumes, 69 trials were necessary. Like a wink from destiny, this is the 68th version which was retained. Highly symbolic, this number recalls a part of the stylist’s history: May 68.
But scents are not the only ones with a special story. The bottle also comes with its share of anecdotes. The sides of the bottle represent columns, a tribute to “its Versailles side“, in Agnès b.’s own words. At first, she had the idea that the bottle could then be transformed into a vase, she who loves giving a second life to objects. “It was difficult because of the configuration of the bottle… That will be for next time!“Next time… We’re already looking forward to it!
