At 78, Anny Duperey has considerably reduced her cruising pace. However, the star of “a great family” continues to spend her time between Paris and La Creuse, where she has an incredible property of more than four hectares!
It has already been over 45 years since Anny Duperey spent her time between the capital and Châtelus-Malvaleix, a small village located in the heart of Creuse where she has a huge property.
Anny Duperey Fan of “old country” Creusois: this immense property of which she had “become hostage”
Purchased several decades ago, this villa, first bought by Bernard Giraudeau, is wooded with a four hectare park. And the actress, also author and photographer, has developed a devouring passion for gardening. Japanese garden, one hectare pond, huge vegetable garden and hundreds of varieties of different plants: the list of its desires is long. And it is only very recently that Anny Duperey decided to slow down. The one who loves to garden, cultivate and grow even decided to bequeath part of her paradise located three and a half hours from Paris to her two children, Gaël and Sara, fruit of her loves with Bernard Giraudeau.
However, no question for the face of the series A great family to leave the Creuse. She even opened the doors of her Eldorado to our colleagues from Figaro Last June. “Between two filming and every day of break in the theater for years, she rushed to the ‘old country’ to enlarge her garden, redraw, modify before returning to Paris, the nails dirty of her land. Over the years, she has settled”they write elsewhere. The actress had specified: “This garden owned me, I had become hostage”.
Anny Duperey and her “slow love at first sight” for the Creuse: “I collapsed in tears”
The one who also owns a good in the prized 14th arrondissement of Paris, where she has long had the famous Agnès Varda as neighbor, regrets it: her haven of peace cost her too much. “Almost all of my income has passed there”admitted the one who was born Anny Legras.
But Anny Duperey feels linked to this land: “I had a kind of slow love at first sight. Me, the orphan, with a field of dead behind me, I found the presence of the past (…) there was a reminder of childhood, to this rusticity that I had known with my grandmother in the miserable suburbs of Rouen”.
“The first time I put my boot on a spade to return the earth, I collapsed in tears for two hours. Indeed, it is in the earth that my parents are, realizing it was a blast”said Anny Duperey about her parents, who died of a domestic accident when she was eight years old.
