Amazon is increasingly focusing on AI and the cloud. This strategy seems to be paying off: the Seattle company has just published very good results this Tuesday evening. Its sales of remote business services, in particular, increased by 17% year-on-year. They stand at 25 billion dollars between January and March.
Generative artificial intelligence is already helping to boost these revenues, explained Andy Jassy and CFO Brian Osvalsky during a conference with analysts. The growth of its cloud branch, AWS, forecasts sales of $100 billion over one year, according to the CEO. AI would contribute “several billions” per year.
