At 40, Amel Bent is a fulfilled woman, both by her rich career and by her three children, all born from her marriage to Patrick Antonelli. A true mother hen, she remains no less strict. And straddling certain principles!
Back on the small screen in the new season of The Voice, on TF1, alongside Lara Fabian, Florent Pagny and Tayc, singer Amel Bent is in the middle of a tornado on the professional side. She has also just released a new single, Love is givenand she is preparing to go on tour again, with a first date at the Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon, on April 16. But the star does not forget the role of her life: that of mother.
Amel Bent imposes a ban on her children and does not deviate from it
Amel Bent is the mother of three children, all born from the couple she forms with her husband Patrick Antonelli: Sofia, born in 2016, Hana, born in 2017, and the youngest Zayn, who showed up in 2022. Extremely close to her children, the singer remains no less strict. And she wants to instill in them values and principles that are fundamental to her.
In Julia Layani’s podcast, Conversations before the end of the worldthe 40-year-old singer has indulged in some confidences about the education she gives to her children. She thus made it known that her children respected to the letter an implacable rule… That of never going to zoos! Firmly opposed to the holding of wild animals in captivity, and a fervent defender of nature and living beings, she wants her offspring to follow the same path. Result: his three children have never set foot in a zoo.
Amel Bent inflexible with her three children: “It’s forbidden at home”
“I forbade my children from going to the zoo. They don’t go to the zoo. When there are outings, they don’t go”she firmly maintained. And the singer – who dreamed of another very specialized profession in her youth – said: “They’ve never been to a zoo, they don’t know what it is. It’s forbidden at home. Animals, we save money, we buy a plane ticket, we go see them in their natural environment otherwise it’s not worth it.”
“You watch them on TV, we watch them in documentaries, but not in a zoo, I can’t”she added. However, it should be remembered that many zoos play an important role in the survival of certain endangered species and even have reintroduction programs into their habitat. Amel Bent, however, holds firmly to this prohibition while she herself does not hide the fact that she has a wish: “My dream, I want to see a white bear, I can cry.”
