Amel Bent is the mother of three children, all born from the couple she forms with her husband Patrick Antonelli: Sofia, born in 2016, Hana, born in 2017, and the youngest Zayn, who showed up in 2022. Extremely close to her children, the singer remains no less strict. And she wants to instill in them values and principles that are fundamental to her.
In Julia Layani’s podcast, Conversations before the end of the worldthe 40-year-old singer has indulged in some confidences about the education she gives to her children. She thus made it known that her children respected to the letter an implacable rule… That of never going to zoos! Firmly opposed to the holding of wild animals in captivity, and a fervent defender of nature and living beings, she wants her offspring to follow the same path. Result: his three children have never set foot in a zoo.

“I forbade my children from going to the zoo. They don’t go to the zoo. When there are outings, they don’t go”she firmly maintained. And the singer – who dreamed of another very specialized profession in her youth – said: “They’ve never been to a zoo, they don’t know what it is. It’s forbidden at home. Animals, we save money, we buy a plane ticket, we go see them in their natural environment otherwise it’s not worth it.”
“You watch them on TV, we watch them in documentaries, but not in a zoo, I can’t”she added. However, it should be remembered that many zoos play an important role in the survival of certain endangered species and even have reintroduction programs into their habitat. Amel Bent, however, holds firmly to this prohibition while she herself does not hide the fact that she has a wish: “My dream, I want to see a white bear, I can cry.”
