It is amazing how much this detail can change everything in a corridor in lack of light. Follow the tutorial!
Perceived as a purely functional space, wrongly, the corridor is one of the pieces of our interiors that we abandon the most … Some people do not spend enough time there and therefore do not feel the need to arrange it carefully, others do not know how to do it as it seems cramped and difficult to furnish, all the more when it is sorting of natural light …
It is a fact, the corridor is not the decorative priority of many of us, we will always prefer to enhance a living room rather than a passage space and it is a good war, but you will see that with a little idea, elbow oil and about fifty euros budget, we can do miracles and instill life there, a lot of life! Interior decorator with 16,000 subscribers on Instagram (@Celosia__Deco), Lisa is never short of ideas to reinvent the interiors of her customers. In the tutorial video that interests us today, she tackles a recurring problem that we were all confronted at least once: a dark corridor.
In order to revive this not very large space, it has bet on a must: paint, yes, but not anywhere. On the walls, it’s good and it can help diffuse light, but it has tested and proven that another surface could change everything in light and it is the ceiling. And who says a very small dark corridor, says need of light, and what could be better than a beautiful yellow applied to the 4ᵉ wall to make this little dark corridor a bright place?! By choosing the energy yellow shade of the Envie brand at Leroy Merlin, she managed to bring clarity where he was missing, and style to resell as a bonus!
To do this, she started by delimiting the area to be painted using a laser meter and masking tape. Once the angles has been cleared using a brush to be repeated, she was able to finish applying the paint on the roller on the entire ceiling. Practical little advice: don’t forget to wear glasses, this will avoid all disappointments. It only remains to remove the masking tape and voila, you now have a corridor where it seems to be 30 ° C in winter, as in summer!
