This month of November, we are highlighting a food with more than interesting nutritional benefits! You may have noticed: snacking is even more tempting when the cold sets in, the days get shorter, and it is more interesting to stay on your sofa, under a blanket, rather than setting foot out.
So, what are the good reasons to consume it? First of all, this vegetable is made up of 95% water. Low in calories (15.8 calories per 100 grams, according to the book Fat-burning foods by Rachel Frély), it perfectly fills hunger when it is felt. Also, it eliminates fat that settles in unwanted places, particularly in areas prone to cellulite (arms, thighs, buttocks). This power is explained by the presence of vitamins C and B9, which allow the synthesis of a neurotransmitter: norepinephrine. Its rich fiber content makes it a perfect ally for intestinal transit. And finally, it helps with digestion while cleansing your body. It’s green and has a funny name: celery sticks!
You can eat it in several ways: raw or cooked. In a salad, in a soup, in a detox juice, to chew… Everything is possible.
