At 80, Elaine Paddor has an Olympic form thanks to which she never derogates. Zoom.

Being able to do as much sport at 80 as 30, that’s enough to dream. This is the case of Elaine Paddor, an octogenarian American who displays an Olympic form. For years, she has had the same routine without ever derogating from it. “”Since little one, I have always been quite muscular and I have strength. It was only at the age of 37 that I set foot in the gym for the first time, when a friend recommended that I try. I got in instantly in love“, She explains to the Women’s Health media. Indeed, six days a week the sportswoman from Miami goes to training where she performs sessions of 30 to 45 minutes, here is what she is doing there.

If she drops sport for a while, Elaine Paddor gets back there after gaining weight in the fifties. From that moment, she will never stop practicing physical activity again. The most impressive? Not only does the octogenarian not hesitate to lift heavy loads during her training, but she also managed to set up a routine as simple as it is effective without ever following a training program. “”The simple fact of moving your body can make a big difference, but I am convinced that lifting weights is beneficial on all levels: mental, physical and emotional“, She continues. Thus, with each passage to the gym, she performs three series of leg elevations at the helm, and three series of balances on the hands where she holds as long as possible. On the machines, she performs three series of Pushdown triceps, Triceps, extension of legs and lateral draw.

But the key, according to Elaine Paddor, remains not to put pressure on training sessions: “In general, I trust my intuition when I train: if something seems easy to me that day, I add weight or rehearsals. If something does not suit me, I move on.“According to the octogenarian, regularity is essential to obtain results and remain motivated.

Finally, she advises to bet on the precision of movements, because an exercise is more effective when it is well executed. “”I also favor flexibility, by exercising it regularly“, She says. Her last secret? Be grateful to her body. She is well aware of it: her exploits are not within everyone’s reach.”If you feel grateful to be alive and want to feel good, it is essential to act. If you want to get into bodybuilding, go ahead, and just start. “
