Weeks of suspense and now? The outcome in favor of the entrepreneur David Layani (Onepoint) and his partners in the Atos case will resolve for the coming years the debt problems which were strangling the French IT group. But turning the company around operationally remains a challenge.
Two years almost to the day after the presentation of a first rescue plan that was ultimately aborted, “the assets are damaged,” notes an observer. More recently, during months of twists and turns, customers and employees hesitated to leave and look elsewhere. At the start of the year, order intake was at its lowest. “This period will leave its mark,” agrees David Layani, in an interview with “Echos”, while displaying his desire to rebuild a great European tech champion with its 95,000 employees. He will take over as director at the end of the year.
