Does the host and journalist Bernard de La Villardière, an essential face of M6, have desires elsewhere? He confided that he had another nationality and that he was thinking of moving far from France…
At 67, Bernard de La Villardière is a well-known face to M6 viewers. Former presenter of Forbidden Zonein 2005 it became the incarnation of the investigative magazine Exclusive Survey. Still happy with his position on the small screen in France, he does not hide his desire to change country to spend his retirement…
Bernard de La Villardière has a dual nationality: “My mother is from there and I go there every year”
Recently interviewed by TV Mag on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his show, Bernard de La Villardière admitted that he was ready to live in a country other than France: Argentina, of which he is a national. “Yes, I’m thinking about it. My mother is from there and I go there every year. This country is based on the same Judeo-Christian civilization as us. Perhaps I feel more at ease”he explained.
“And at the same time, I have four children (Caroline, Marc, Rémi and Nicolas, editor’s note) and seven grandchildren, and I love staying close to my family.”he then qualified. Bernard de La Villardière is very “invested” in his role as clan leader. “My children happily entrust me with my grandchildren. We sometimes have three or four of them on the weekend, so we have to be careful. Especially since they are between 6 months and 11 years old. Besides, I don’t hesitate to change diapers!”detailed the one who has been married to Anne de Savignac for more than twenty years.
Bernard de La Villardière tired of Paris? “There are many things that make me jump”
At the same time, Bernard de La Villardière also spoke about what he thinks of Paris… The divisive journalist, who would have seen himself as an investigating judge in the past, confided that the other profession that affects him is that of town planner. And to explain, tackle in passing to the current mayor of the capital; “After having made a film on the greatest cities in the world, I find that this profession is at the crossroads of sociology, journalistic investigation and architecture (…) In this regard, in Paris, there are many things that make me jump. I regret the Paris that I obviously knew.”
A possible reconversion therefore for the journalist who had already confided to Jordan de Luxe in 2022 to think about the end of his flagship show. “I think about the end of Enquête Exclusive, I often think about the stopping of M6, in 3-4 years I will stop, it’s tiring work, and you also have to know how to give space to young people, I have other desires, I want to achieve”he declared. To be continued.
