The ceiling light is a lighting system fixed to the ceiling, which can either be tackled against the wall or suspended by a hook. Unlike the foot lamps, the light comes from above and diffuses harmoniously throughout the room. This is a full decorative element which must be chosen with care. As for the installation of a ceiling lamp, it is within the reach of any beginner handyman. Here are the steps.
Set up
Get the following tools: meter, drill, screwdriver, strip pliers, cutting pliers and rocking ankle. Before you start, cut the current to the power clock. Check as needed with a phase tester that the system is out of course. Locate in pencil the location of the ceiling light. Take care to place the luminaire in the center of the ceiling, or above the table.
Install the ceiling lamp
Drill a hole (or more, depending on the model) using the electric drill, without pushing the wick too much. Dust then place a rocking ankle compatible with the ceiling material and the weight of the ceiling lamp in the hole. Screw the hook or the metal pendant piton. Always at the drill, make a second hole to drive the rod of the derivation case, of which you will have previously opened the seamless to have access to the electric wires. Pull the cable, cut it with the appropriate length (this will depend on the type of light) and introduce the sheath into the case. Then strip the drivers over 5 to 10 millimeters and insert them into the connectors. Scrupulously respect the colors: blue (neutral) and red (phase). Please note, the earth connector (yellow) should not be connected. Clip everything on the box.
Check
Hang your hook ceiling light then screw or clip the bulb in the cheek. Be sure to respect the indications on voltage and never install an inadequate bulb. Reconnect the current to the general counter and activate the lighting switch. May the light be!
