This comfortable 80 m² apartment is located in the very lively Bastille district. It is a mother and her daughter who already lived in the accommodation. The mother didn’t have time to do any work before moving in, but it was time for her to renovate it so that it better suited her needs. The property already had a lot of charm with very beautiful wooden doors that resemble those of an old castle, but all the rooms were adjoining. Owner of many vintage clothes, the client also knows how to find atypical decoration. This is a big advantage, but you still have to combine them well together. Above all, she was seriously lacking in space to store her finds. It is for all these reasons that she called on Cyrielle Benaïm of Bän Architectures.
Have more storage while retaining the soul of the place
The customer was running out of space. The apartment had three bedrooms while she lived alone with her daughter. The architect therefore broke a partition to enlarge her sleeping room: she was thus able to create a large cupboard and hide, with a clever idea, the door leading to the bathroom. The latter had been redone by an architect a long time ago. A retro fan, the client wanted a style more to her taste and more storage so that the room was less cluttered. Cyrielle Benaïm managed to modify the space with old touches and other more original ones. Valentine Bounaud, the owner, took care of the decoration and furniture herself. The difficulty of this achievement was to maintain a bohemian charm with furniture with a very assertive style while organizing the space as best as possible and it was perfectly successful. The property is atypical and, thanks to the architect’s good ideas, it is much more practical and offers incredible character. We’ll let you discover it.
