Remove fat
Your pure wool plaid is dotted with fat stains (butter, meat juice, oil), especially do not rub, you might worsen the damage. Sprinkle the dirt from Talc then brush vigorously. The excess fat will be coated with Talc. You can try this solution on other natural composition fabrics (linen, cotton, etc.) or even put on the stain a blotting paper on which you will give an iron. Thus heated, the fat will adhere to the blotter. The dirt residues can be removed with Marseille soap or washer liquid mixed with lukewarm water.
Give back their whiteness to your fabrics
Household linen yellowed by time will find all its whiteness if you add to your rinsing water a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide (to buy in pharmacies). A little tip: extend your laundry in the open air by a full moon day. The moon has a whitening action on the laundry even more than the sun. Be careful all the same, the star alters the colored linen. You will also find the trade activators of whiteness like Blanco or K2R.
Remedy the problems of halos and molds
The haloed curtains and the traces of mold on the tablecloths or cousins of chairs are the prerogative of wet houses. To remedy this, remember to add a little ammonia in your rinsing water. Regarding mold, it will leave without any problem if you can wash your household linen in milk or in a mixture of water and boiled milk. Also remember to add a few drops of essential oils of lavender or rosemary and white vinegar during the machine. This will advantageously replace an industrial softener.
