«What a strange country Italy is: if the alarm goes off, they don’t go to see if anyone is home, but they run to turn off the alarm. Shame”. And again: «They are trying to say that I made it all up, due to my previous records, but I will confront them with the truth. I have proof. You won’t stop me.”
With these words Fabrizio Corona intervenes in a long video published on his social channels to respond to the press releases released by the company’s lawyers Alfonso Signorini and Mediaset, after the tenant’s decision Big Brother to suspend his commitments with the Cologno Monzese company. A choice motivated, according to Signorini, by the need to face what he defined as a “slanderous and defamatory campaign”.
Mediaset took note of the self-suspension, declaring itself ready to “counter the spread of defamatory reconstructions” and calling on those who work for the company to “rigorously apply the code of ethics without exceptions”.
In the video, Corona promises new revelations “in January”, talking about chats, documents and testimonies which would demonstrate – according to him – the validity of what has already been published on an alleged “system” to enter as a competitor, or aspiring competitor, in the house of Big Brother. Accusations which, at the moment, remain unsubstantiated and are being examined by investigators.
In emphatic tones, the former photographic agent attacks the host directly: «I read the delusional reasons for the self-suspension of Alfonso Signorini, who obviously attacks me to defend himself. What did I do? What I usually do.” He then reads and comments on the statement from Signorini’s lawyers, focusing on the accusations made against him and on the attempt, in his opinion, to discredit him by leveraging his past: «They are trying to say that I made it all up because it’s me, because I have my precedents. And all the chats, all the evidence, all the documents I invented. All the things I made you read and listen to would be false. They should be ashamed.”
Corona claims the existence of further material: “I have many of those chats still for you to read, I have many of those proofs, I have many of those documents that will make you tremble.” And it strikes against the company: «Mediaset does it to protect the company on the stock exchange, underlining that it has respected the code, which in reality has not been respected. What Mediaset is doing today is disgusting, I will show you that it is true…”.
On the judicial level, meanwhile, the Milan Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation against Alfonso Signorini. This is an act due following the complaint presented in recent days by the former competitor of Big Brother Antonio Medugno. In the complaint filed last December 24, which ended up on the table of prosecutor Letizia Mannella, Medugno – assisted by lawyers Cristina Morrone and Giuseppe Pipicella – asked to proceed for sexual assault and extortion, crimes now included in the file.
Prosecutor Mannella also coordinates with her colleague Alessandro Gobbis the investigation into Fabrizio Corona, investigated for revenge porn on the basis of the complaint presented by Signorini. A complaint arrived after that, in recent weeks, the “king of the paparazzi”, through his Falsissimo format, accused the host of having carried out an alleged “system” of sexual favors requested from some participants of Big Brother or from those who aspired to enter the house.
This file made it possible to seize photos, videos and chats and pushed Medugno to come forward with his complaint. The one presented by the former competitor may not remain an isolated case: even the former GF Vip Gianluca Costantino, assisted by the lawyer Leonardo D’Erasmo, is currently evaluating whether to take similar legal action.
