What is the CVEC, the contribution of student life and campus?

Established by the law “Orientation and success of students” of March 8, 2018, the contribution of student and campus life (CCvec) is an annual financial contribution due by All students Registered in a public higher education establishment under the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI).

How to pay the CVEC 2025-2026?

Cash payment

What is the amount of the CVEC for the school year 2025-2026?

Who is exempt from the CPEC?

Some students are, depending on each case, exempt from Cvec. They must obtain a acquittal certificate and present it to their establishment.

Student students

Are automatically exempt from the CVEC students benefiting from the following aids, for the academic year 2025-2026:

  • Scholarship holders On social criteria of the Ministry of Higher Education.
  • French government scholarship holders with a scholarship awarded by Campus France or the embassies (international students).
  • An annual allowance paid within the framework of specific aids of the CROUS.
  • Aid to international mobility, paid as part of a program supported by the MESR (excluding Erasmus+standard programs).

These exemptions are only valid once the notification of the grantable scholarship. If the scholarship is awarded after payment, a refund can be requested until May 31, 2026.

Refugee students and asylum seekers

Are also exempt:

  • students holding refugee status;
  • beneficiaries of subsidiary protection (form of protection granted to people who are not recognized refugee, but exposed to serious risks in their country);
  • Asylum seeking students with a right to maintain the territory (issued by the French Office for Immigration and Integration – OFII or OFPRA).

  • Registered in BTS, DMA or in accounting training in high school in continuing education;

  • Alternating in professionalization contracts (Continuing education supported by an employer);
  • Registered for HDR (Habilitation to direct research).

How to be reimbursed for Cvec?

Reimbursement of the Cvec by the CROUS

This exemption from Cvec can take place during the year. In this case, the student can request the reimbursement of the contribution on the CROUS website, from 15 September 2025 at 31 May 2026. Requests transmitted outside this niche will not be processed.

Refund procedure
