Before filling out your 2025 tax return, you wonder how your 2024 income imposed? Taxpayers are fixed on the taxation of their 2024 income: the revaluation of the income tax scale is this year 1.8%. Each year, as a reminder, the entry thresholds in the five marginal tax slices (TMIfrom 0% to 45%) is increased up to inflation excluding tobacco observed over the past financial year to take into account the price increase.
And if the budget version for 2025 initially provided for a revaluation of the 2%income tax scale, it is inflation excluding tobacco of 2024, or 1.8%, which was retained. Here is the new scale of income tax 2025:
- 0% between 0 and 11,497 euros
- 11% from 11,497 to 29,315 euros
- 30% from 29,315 to 83,823 euros
- 41% from 83,823 to 180,294 euros
- 45% above 180,294 euros

A scheme for 1.8% revalued tax for your 2024 income
Note that these tax slices apply to Your income received in 2024the scale usually voted at the end of the year as part of the budget review that applies retroactively to income for the past year. It is therefore this scale which is proof of during your declaration of income made in spring 2025, this formality also relating to your income affected in 2024.
Main consequence: if your income has not increased between 2023 and 2024, your income tax will decrease. For example, if you are single and your income reached 35,000 euros in 2023, your tax regularized in 2024 was 2,736 euros. With identical income in 2024, your tax will be limited to 2,615.48 euros this year. With 50,000 euros in income in 2023 and 2024, still for a single, the tax also fell from one year to the next, going from 6,786 euros to 6,665.48 euros.
