This Sunday, March 15, 2026, the popular actor Bruno Salomone died at the age of 55. It was his agent who announced the news in a press release to AFP. The actor was fighting against “a long illness”which turned out to be cancer revealed several relatives who spoke to pay tribute to him.

His friend and playing partner in the series, who played his fictional wife for 17 years on television, Isabelle Gélinas, reacted to his death with Paris Match. The actress made it known that her sidekick was fighting “since September” and add: “We knew there was no longer any chance, he was doomed. But he really had an extraordinary life force so he hung on as long as possible.”
And Isabelle Gélinas gives some details about the end of Bruno Salomone’s life: “He went peacefully home, with his wife. I am at least relieved to know that he is no longer suffering”. And to confide that Bruno Salomone had shown immense courage, and a certain rage to live until his last breath. Isabelle Gélinas indeed announced that her friend was working on a comic strip: “Even if he could no longer write, he had help”.
Bruno Salomone married to Audrey, “the woman he has been with for a long time”
If he had a fictional wife for a long time, Bruno Salomone also had a real woman in his private life. Very discreet about his love life – he notably had a short affair with Julie Gayet – the actor almost never let anything escape on this subject. However, he had shared his life with a certain Audrey for many years. As the creator of the series that made him famous, Thierry Bizot, confided in Paris Matchhe had even recently put the ring on her finger.
“He got married not very long ago to the woman he’s been with for a long time. When I saw him, he had his ring on his finger. I said to him: ‘Hey, you’re married. Congratulations’. He was very happy, very proud. That was the wonderful side of Bruno. He had two great human qualities: he was courageous, but joyful”.
