Dominique Farrugia has multiple sclerosis which makes him less and less able-bodied. He was violently arrested by a stewardess at the airport. The actor complained about it on Twitter.
Dominique Farrugia saw his life turned upside down in 1991 when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. And every year it becomes less and less valid. The actor and producer now uses an electric wheelchair and says he regularly suffers humiliation. He tells the last one on Twitter, this October 24, with a ground stewardess from the low-cost airline, Transavia.
Dominique Farrugia violently questioned: “What is that?”
Dominique Farrugia continues his life despite the difficulties linked to his illness and the scathing remarks he makes, most recently at the airport. “Live my PMR life (Person with reduced mobility, editor’s note). At Orly 3, a @transaviaFR ground stewardess who sees me with my electric wheelchair says looking at me: What is that?“
It was already enough of a degrading remark, but the airline employee, very unpleasant, hit the nail on the head as Alain Chabat’s great accomplice explained. “I try to answer and she says, “I’m not talking to you. I want to talk to someone responsible.”“, he reported on his Twitter account.
But the actor has not yet explained the outcome of this altercation or why the employee was unable to manage a person with a disability. On Twitter, he received dozens of messages of support and Internet users called on Transavia, a subsidiary of Air France, for apologies and explanations!
The complicated daily life of Dominique Farrugia
Dominique Farrugia has been living with this disease for more than 30 years, which is gradually diminishing his abilities. It’s little things that happen, that diminish you, that tire you“, he explained to Mouloud Achour on Europe 1. If the 62-year-old actor now only moves around in a wheelchair, he continues to work.
“The chance to work is to be in life and not outside of life. Getting up in the morning to go to work makes you feel like everyone else, and not apart. We feel recognized at the end of the month with a pay slip“, he declared in a report devoted to the Tsédaka association which he supports with Yvan Attal.
