At a time when identity theft is claiming more and more victims, securing mail thrown in the trash is becoming a top priority. Find out how this accessory for less than 10 euros will transform the protection of your daily privacy.

In an age where cybercrime often dominates the headlines, we sometimes forget that one of the biggest threats to our privacy comes not from the Internet… but from our own trash! Every week, we throw away dozens of personal papers: electricity bills, bank statements, package labels or administrative letters. These documents contain valuable information for identity thieves such as your full name, address, account numbers or even your spending habits.

Traditionally, there are two solutions available to us to protect this sensitive information before recycling it. Either you go through shredding by hand, or through the shredder or document shredder. In both cases, it is long, tedious, and not always effective. This is where an alternative solution comes in, favored by Fabienne, storage professional and owner of the Instagram account @question.d.organization. Indeed, the expert revealed her simple and inexpensive method to no longer worry about throwing away personal papers that could end up in the wrong hands.

This accessory has formidable efficiency and a ridiculous price. What more could you ask for? If you’re looking for a way to secure your mail in the blink of an eye without investing in an office machine, this tool is for you. Sold at around 8 euros for the cheapest, the roller stamp with blackout ink is an essential. Unlike a classic black marker which sometimes lets text show through under certain light angles, this stamp uses a specific character pattern, often a dense mix of letters and shapes, which completely confuses the reading of the information underneath. A single pass over your name or address is enough to make the information illegible.

Plus, it works great on Amazon package labels (often difficult to tear) and window envelopes. It also fits in a drawer or even a pocket, unlike a document shredder which takes up space. This little tool is also eco-friendly since by simply masking the ink, you can throw your papers directly into the recycling bin without creating difficult-to-treat micro-confetti of paper. Remember that most of these models are rechargeable. For less than 10 euros, you are investing in durable protection for several years of mail.

Identity theft is an administrative nightmare that no one wants to experience. For the price of a sandwich, this roller pad provides immediate peace of mind. It’s a simple reflex to adopt: you receive, pass the roller stamp and recycle.
