Throughout her fashion career, Elodie Gossuin has seen designer clothes parade. But the ones she prefers are those inherited from Geneviève de Fontenay. She even gave a piece to her daughter Rose.

She wears multiple hats without ever getting a big head. Since her beginnings, Elodie Gossuin has captured the hearts of the French with her beauty, her humanity, her joy of living and her simplicity. An accessibility that translates into all spheres of his life, even in his idea of fashion. “Proud to be popular”the former Miss is indeed creative for Tissaia of E.Leclerc : a brand that offers clothing and household linen accessible to all families, without denying style.

But besides his vision “not elitist” Elodie Gossuin also has a sentimental approach to fashion. In one’s wardrobe, clothes are much more than pieces of fabric that one puts on and takes off without attachment: they invoke memories and turn into Proust’s Madeleines which contain beautiful stories in which one willingly immerses oneself again. Thus, in his wardrobe hides a real treasure inherited from “the Miss of Misses”Geneviève de Fontenay.

She confides to Women’s Journal : “In the (clothing) pieces that I have and which are for me like a museum, there is all the heritage that I received from Geneviève. I can’t help, when I pass by, thinking of the Misses and especially of her because I have these relics in my home. It’s beautiful and hard at the same time, but since it was her will, I respect her and I’m proud of it.”

The 44-year-old mother therefore inherited a large part of the clothes of the former President of the Miss France committee. Among these carefully preserved nuggets, no hats, but rather “all her dresses, her jackets, her gala dresses (…) or even the outfits for certain elections”. A treasure that she is unable to wear herself due to its deep meaning, but which she fondly appreciates when worn by her daughter Rose.

Exclusively, she tells us: “The best part for me was in June this year, when my children had their Baccalaureate. There was the prom and Rose wanted to wear a Geneviève dress (…) a princess dress, almost a wedding dress, with lots of rhinestones (…) And that was very moving. When she tried it on, I said to myself that Geneviève must be very proud, because she had said to me ‘I hope that one day, your daughters will want to try it (my clothes) or will put them on.'”

In an era where clothes are thrown away like common waste, Elodie Gossuin shows us that they can cross generations without losing their meaning. A spirit that we find in the fashion and household linen collections that she imagines with Tissaia. The second collaboration can be purchased in the E.Leclerc of your region.
