At each start of the school year, everyone comes out certain iconic articles that were put in the closet for the rest of the year. Most of the time, these are basic, but timeless clothes and accessories, that you never get tired of. Because at the beginning of the school year, we want to be comfortable and, above all, not to have to worry about what we are going to wear the next day.
This is why sneakers are always the first choice. But not just any. Of course, there are the Converse and the Vans, which are an integral part of any wardrobe. This comeback, however, Angèle chose another pair of shoes.
It is a world famous model signed Adidas. Designed in 1969 and presented to the public a year later, this pair of sneakers was initially designed for basketball. Now today is a real fashion icon! And it is notably thanks to hip-hop culture. Indeed, the American music group Run-DMC, the first to have signed a contract with a sports brand, has honored the white pair with three black bands on the side in its “My Adidas” tube. Then, the model was taken up by cinema characters, like that of Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop (1987). But also by rappers, models and other celebrities.
Adidas’ superstars have thus managed to be part of fashion history. A model that should only be used by basketball players is today the essential part to have in your dressing room for the start of the school year! And Angèle agrees.
In a post published recently on her Instagram account, she shows a few shots of her carrying the famous pair of white shoes with black bands, as well as a matching black jacket with white bands signatures from the German label. In another photo, we see it with the same model, this time in black, with the matching white socks.
This is not the first time that the artist has wears shoes from the label. A few months ago, she wore another so emblematic model of the brand: the Gazelles. Coming from a collaboration with the Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny, Angèle has had them on his feet since last year and does not separate it.
