Comedian and columnist on “Quotidien”, Pablo Mira has not always been successful. He confided that he was rejected from filming a music video because of his physique!
Pablo Mira was recently a guest of Bruno Guillon for his show The Good Sunday Show, broadcast on RTL. This was for the chronicler of Daily the opportunity to relate a funny misadventure. He returned to a professional event that didn’t exactly go as he had planned…
A good shaky plan?
Pablo Mira explained that it all started with a supposed good plan shared by one of his director friends: “You have to make an appearance in Patrick Fiori’s music video“. The apprentice actor then sends an introductory email and a photo to the production, but he receives no response. Unaware of what awaits him, he still decides to go to the film set. “I’m coming, I’m all alone. There are just two or three assistant directors who put things in place…“
The latter relates that before filming began, he changed and put on a costume which he described as a “little Célio Club suit“. Then, with self-deprecation and laughter, he adds: “At the time, I had no purchasing power, I ate surimi!“Suddenly, he begins to see very beautiful women but also very handsome men arriving on set. He describes them as slender, tall, muscular models…
Pablo Mira, not at ease: “Everything else around is more beautiful than ever“
Very quickly, the comedian dreaming of being an actor realizes something: “I don’t agree with the aesthetic totality that is being created.”. Neither one nor two, Pablo Mira decides to go directly to see the production manager. He explains to her that he is there for the casting of Patrick Fiori’s music video.
Embarrassed, she replies that, unfortunately, he was not selected among the extras of the day! “In fact, I wasn’t pretty enough“, joked the comedian, now 39 years old. But this mishap had a positive effect on the rest of Pablo Mira’s career: “I transformed myself into a comedian“. Moreover, he performs on tour with his show entitled Simple past.
