Notice to lovers: Valentine’s Day is approaching! If you are planning a romantic outing in the capital that evening, it is best to avoid this specific area as you risk losing all privacy. The numbers prove it…
Cupid shot his arrows and formed the couples. On February 14, the lovebirds will be keen to celebrate their love during a romantic evening with flowers, champagne, chocolates and luminous outfits. In Paris, restaurants are planning special menus for the occasion and hotels are making offers dedicated to Valentine’s Day. But if you plan to spend the evening in the capital, certain neighborhoods should be avoided because they risk being crowded. Not ideal for an intimate moment for two… especially if a marriage proposal is being prepared.
Indeed, this is what emerges from a special Valentine’s Day study carried out by Parclickapplication specializing in online parking reservations in Europe. The company analyzed the reservations made that evening with those recorded a week earlier, in 2025. Couples who wish to celebrate this event and who travel to Paris by car are planning ahead: between D-7 and the big day, reservations increase by around +29%! In certain districts of the capital, popular for their offer of restaurants, nightlife activities and other cultural places, the increases are even more spectacular. This is the case for example around Montmartre, Pigalle and Place de Clichy. It is here that we find in particular the Moulin Rougewhich should welcome couples on the go to attend the legendary dinner show at the iconic Parisian nightspot.
But it’s another district of Paris that will be full of lovers that evening. The company noted that the most heavily impacted area is that of the banks of the Seine and the surroundings of the Eiffel Tower. What could be more romantic than seeing the Iron Lady shine and then observing the City of Lights with your loved one from the top of the monument?
Unfortunately, by going to this corner you will have to forget about privacy since Parclick noted a staggering increase of +300% in reservations at the Quai Branly – Tour Eiffel (SAEMES) car park. An absolute record. For more romance, it is better to look for small, lesser-known addresses in less touristy areas.
