Christophe Fouquet, a Frenchman unknown to the general public and even still little known in French economic circles, takes the helm of one of the most important technological companies in the world, undoubtedly the equivalent of the American Nvidia for Europe, even if the two groups are not present at the same stages of the value chain in the electronic chip market.
His appointment at the head of the Dutch ASML, the ultimate in equipment suppliers for chip manufacturers, will be approved this Wednesday, April 24 at the general meeting of shareholders. Christophe Fouquet will be at the head of a company valued at more than 300 billion euros on the stock market, one of the top European stocks. He will also be among the very rare French people to manage a foreign company of global scale.
