As the phenomenon of piracy grows at the start of the Ligue 1 season, sports channels and the Professional Football League (LFP) are determined to declare war on pirates. They are using all the legal means at their disposal, in particular the 2021 law, which allows pirate mirror sites that appear to be blocked more quickly.
The LFP has already obtained an injunction from the Paris judicial court at the beginning of August, and this for the first time before the season, in order to more easily allow Internet service providers (ISPs) to block access to streaming sites or IPTV services.
