Who has never been annoyed when changing their duvet cover? Slipping corners, uneven distribution, unaligned patterns… Each time, it’s a headache. But, an ingenious concept seems to have brilliantly solved the problem.
He won the gold medal in the Lépine competition in 2019. Benjamin Rimajou is the inventor of the concept making household chores easier for millions of French people. He imagined the duvet insert called “Hopoli”, a play on words just as clever as his revolutionary tool. What is it about ? How to use it ? How much does it cost ? Here is all the information to remember.
Thousands of copies are sold each year. Benjamin Rimajou’s duvet insert seems to have proven itself and continues to appeal to many consumers, since it was recently presented at the 2024 Paris Fair, under the amazed eyes of passers-by. So, what does it consist of? The Hopoli duvet remover consists of two steel clips, to be positioned on a door, like a coat rack. Then, here are the steps to follow:
- Wedge the two corners of your duvet cover into each of the steel clips, so that the opening is at the bottom.
- Then, put your hand in the duvet cover and go up to reach one of the two clips.
- Next, collect the entire sheet that is on your arm and place it on the blue hook of the clip.
- Repeat the operation on the other side by positioning everything on the other clamp.
- Finally, wedge the corners of your duvet in these same two clips and finish by putting on your cover very simply.
- Shake and voila!
In terms of price, the tool is sold for 34.90 euros on the brand’s website. Note that there are two different models, one suitable for standard doors and another for overlapping doors. Delivery is free and those who have tried it seem to have adopted it.
You should know that the duvet insert is, however, strongly discouraged on sliding doors. The brand explains that the tool will not be maintained and will have a high chance of falling to the ground. So, it’s better to avoid.
