The singer and actress released her latest album, A lovein 2021, stating that she probably wouldn’t do another one. And yet, she decided to embark on the adventure again with this new album. “The desire mainly came from the fans. Every time I saw them, they begged me to do songs. My producer, Jean-Luc Azoulay, was quite insistent too“, she recently confided in an interview with 7 Days TV.
The interpreter of For the love of a boy finally gave in and found herself in the studio to record this new opus. Surprisingly, his working method has not changed since his beginnings, the ritual is the same! “For thirty-five years, it’s been the same process: the three of us isolate ourselves (with musician Gérard Salesses and his producer Jean-Luc Azoulay, editor’s note) in a house to select the songs, then we record in the studio. There are no timetables. We’re good, we’re laughing. It was really cool.” detailed the singer.

But why did Hélène Rollès hesitate so much before making this album? The actress and mother of two children was terribly nervous about going back on stage! “If I make an album again, it will lead to a scene and I’m so nervous that I hesitate“, she said in 2023 at the microphone of Sud Radio.
And Hélène, who is a star in China, specifies: “I’m terrified every time. The last stage was the Olympia, and when I found myself ready to go on stage, I said to myself: ‘But why are you still here? And why did you say yes?’ But once I’m on stage, I’m excited to see the people“. A challenge that she will have to take on again in 2025 since two dates have already been announced: March 7 and 8, at the Théâtre Marigny.
