Her words are rare but, today, Cynthia Sardou speaks. The discreet daughter of Michel Sardou responded to the “Journal des Femmes”, thus taking stock of her life and the links she maintains with her famous father.
While the concert of Michel Sardou’s farewell tour was recently broadcast on M6, his daughter Cynthia wanted to share with us some secrets. For the Women’s Journalshe takes stock exclusively.
What happens to Cynthia Sardou?
Now aged 51, the daughter of Michel Sardou and his ex-wife Françoise Pettré, still lives in Quebec. “Since Covid, I have worked extensively as a communications manager in a women’s center, working with women in difficulty. And, in the community, I organized demonstrations against poverty, marches for women to obtain their rights, in very difficult political contexts“, she said.
Furthermore, Cynthia Sardou also has a flair for writing since she published a first novel, entitled The Movie (published by Ramsay), in 2021. Previously, she had published other works but much more personal including A life to rebuild And Do I have to be raped again? What relationship does Cynthia Sardou have with her father Michel?
While she is very discreet and lives far from her clan on the other side of the Atlantic, Cynthia Sardou is not at odds with her famous father, contrary to what some rumors report. “I learned to accept him as he is, without placing expectations on him and living in disappointment. While he has just said goodbye to the stage and has packed his bags with his wife Anne-Marie Périer in a new house in the South of France, Michel Sardou always keeps his children in mind. Furthermore, Cynthia Sardou is a fulfilled woman and wants to make it known: “I discovered that I had the power over my life and the power to put in place what suits me. Becoming a ‘good companion’ to myself and becoming the author of my own life, what I call joy.”
