Contrary to popular belief, it is not necessary to spend a lot of money on makeup products to enhance your features. The proof with this inexpensive perfect beauty treatment, ideal after 40 years.
The transition to midlife can be difficult for some women to navigate. First wrinkles, dull complexion… self-esteem can take a hit. However, 40 is a very good age, especially if you know the right techniques to highlight your features. Indeed, each age has its own way of applying makeup, and at 40, we don’t do it like we do at 20. On the other hand, one thing is certain: it is not necessary to spend a lot of money to have pretty makeup. On Instagram, this makeup artist proves it by sharing an easy and inexpensive beauty look.
Her name is Déborah Azria, aka @deborahazria_makeupartist, and she regularly posts videos to teach women aged 40 and over how to make the right makeup choices. In one of her latest videos, she reveals a low-budget tutorial to show that it is not essential to spend crazy amounts of money to look beautiful.
To start, she uses hyaluronic acid foundation from the Accord Perfect range from L’Oréal Paris, available for around 13 euros. When you know that a major brand foundation can cost up to 70 euros, the savings are indeed real. She particularly appreciates this product, because “it has adjustable coverage. From the age of 40, we want lightness so as not to mark wrinkles, but also something that can camouflage pigment spots”she explains. She then switches to concealer from the same brand, sold for 12 euros, which she applies to the inner corner, at the crease level, and to the outer corner of the eye. To give herself a healthy glow, she opts for a Sephora blush and highlighter at 13 euros each. To avoid marking fine lines, she favors a cream texture.
To make her makeup last all day, she chooses a transparent loose powder from the Normal brand, sold for 8 euros. The professional makeup artist specifies: “it’s a dupe of the Huda Beauty which costs more than 40 euros…” To finish, she gives a doe look with a L’Oréal Paris mascara, available in supermarkets for 14 euros. In the end, each product cost him around ten euros, and the result is clear! Which means that it is entirely possible to wear makeup at a low price from the age of 40.
