With temperatures dropping and days getting shorter, all we want to do is curl up on the sofa with a hot drink. The month of November is often a somewhat difficult month for morale. It’s raining a lot, back-to-school fatigue is making itself felt and it’s not yet time to start preparations for the end of year celebrations. So, you have to do yourself some good! For this, there is nothing like a good book, or a good comforting film to watch with the family. But we don’t always know which film or series could make our evening successful… If you’re one of those who spend hours searching for the right storyline on Netflix, here are some new features that could save your evenings…
In terms of new releases, we can only recommend the animated film The Sneetches, which is scheduled to be released online on Netflix on November 3. This revisitation of the tale of the famous Dr Seuss, notably author of The Cat in the Hat and The Grinch, is aimed in particular at children, but its themes (kindness, solidarity, friendship, tolerance) make it an ideal film to watch with the family. Also new, the French film The Hennedricks Family. Directed by Laurence Arné, this funny and moving family road trip is sure to please young and old alike. And, of course, if you are parents of teenagers, go on November 29 to discover the first episode of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. An ending eagerly awaited by those who followed it!
Netflix has a vast catalog, the richest of all streaming platforms. Even if these are not new releases, the site is full of “feel good” films to watch with the family. Want to spend a wild evening singing to the tunes of the K-pop hit of the year Demon Hunters? Netflix has just released a series of video clips of the best songs from the film. And all that, with the lyrics. Your children will not come back!
Finally, why not introduce your children to films from the 80s and 90s? A way to immerse yourself in your youth and introduce the youngest to cult films.
