Loana’s funeral took place on April 10, in Nice. While the body of the former “Loft Story” star was cremated, was his last wish respected?
Loana’s funeral was held at the Sainte-Réparate cathedral in Nice, in the presence of her loved ones and a handful of VIPs. A religious ceremony organized several weeks after her death, her lifeless body was found by firefighters and the police at her home on March 25; an autopsy had been requested by the prosecutor.
A few days after the funeral of the former winner of Loft Storydied at only 48 years old in circumstances that remain unclear and after having experienced a slow descent into hell which notably led her to end her life in the RSA, her family wanted to thank anonymous people and personalities who participated in the funeral. “Loana’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to all those who surrounded and supported her during her funeral. The family sends its sincere thanks to Alexia Laroche-Joubert (who helped pay for the ceremony and who also paid Loana’s rent for more than two years, editor’s note)to the loft owners, as well as to Benjamin Castaldi, for their presence and faithful support in these painful moments“, we can read in Nice Morning.
And those close to Loana, including her mother Violette – but not her daughter Mindy, with whom she had no contact – added: “The family also warmly thanks the many fans who came to say a last goodbye. Their affection testifies to the love that Loana aroused throughout her life.“After the religious ceremony open to the public, a cremation was organized in strict family privacy. A question then arises: was his last wish respected?
In fact, the magazine France Sunday returns to Loana’s destiny in its latest issue, notably evoking their “scoop” at the time on her hidden daughter. And the magazine then reports: “Sadly, she would never have been able to hold her granddaughter. (Mindy became the mother of a little Maelysse, editor’s note) in her arms, any more than she would have been able to tell Mindy in person the immense love she had for her (…) Will her death finally reunite them? Loana had in fact made the wish to be buried with the photo of her beloved daughter against her heart.“If Loana was ultimately not buried, did she have the famous photo in her coffin at the time of cremation?
