To keep a plancha in good condition and continue to delight with well golden vegetables or grills, good regular cleaning is essential – ideally after each use. The good news? It only takes a few simple gestures, even if the plancha is cold or very dirty. We explain how to do.
The ideal is to clean your plancha right after cooking. But do not panic if it has cooled: it can also meet cold. With white vinegar, a little hot water and bicarbonate, or even … ice cubes (yes, really!), Discover how to clean it naturally and make it last long.
To clean a hot plancha, the natural and very effective product is white vinegar! If the plate has had time to cool, turn it on to cool it down a little and start cleaning.
- As the plate is still hot, pour lukewarm water and white vinegar on its surface,
- Then scrape the residues, fitted with a spatula or a stainless steel brush.
- Then pass an absorbent paper to remove the last juices from cooking and resistant fats.
If you don’t have white vinegar, you can also clean your plancha with ice cubes. The thermal shock will make it possible to take off the impurities, very easily and without damaging your device. The procedure to follow:
- Arrange the ice cubes on the still hot plate,
- Then scrape the residues to the‘Help D‘a spatula,
- Dry the surface … it’s done!
Were you not being able to do a hot cleaning? Do not panic, cold cleaning is quite possible to make your plancha flash. To start, check that the D valve‘Arrival of gas is well closed or that the device is well disconnected in the case of an electrical model. Pour a few drops of dishwashing liquid and lukewarm water on the baking sheet. Then scrape the dirt with a stainless steel spatula. Dry the surface and voila!
How to clean a very dirty plancha? If your plancha is particularly dirty, you can use baking soda to clean it cold. Pour‘Hot water on the plate, added with two tablespoons of baking soda, leave for 10 minutes, then rub with an abrasive sponge. Rinse and dry carefully.
Before putting your plancha at the end of the season, carry out careful cleaning. Avoid l‘use of aggressive products such as bleach or abrasive degreasers type decap‘Four: harmful to health, they could damage your device. Rather clean the baking sheet, burners, cart and all accessories using dishwashing liquid and a damp sponge before drying them carefully.
