Dark circles are the scourge of many women. How to alleviate them and succeed in making them disappear? Follow Kakie’s advice, studio makeup artist.
How to choose your concealer?
The concealer is one of the essentials of beauty. Slightly thicker than the foundation, it can be used for both marked dark circles and for the most discreet. In addition to hiding dark circles, the new existing formulas hydrate the skin and improve microcirculation, the primary cause of these unsightly dark spots. For an optimal result, choose a concealer half a tone clearer than your complexion and therefore, than your foundation. If the concealer is too dark, you may accentuate the circles and bring it out. And if it is too clear, it will not camouflage the circles and will also accentuate it.
How to put it well?
The first thing to know is that whatever its texture (liquid form in pen or more creamy in stick or pencil), the installation of the concealer will be the same. The ideal is to apply it after your foundation, to improve its adhesion to the skin. To do this, go around the eye, going from the inner corner (initial point of traffic) to the outside and then go up on your eyelid, to hide the persistent little redness. No need for a brush, the application should be done on the finger, tapping slightly. You should always apply it while looking in the air and spread it to the eye. Thus, by lowering the gaze, the product will be positioned more easily and will cover the entire circle. Once the concealer is installed, you can also put a slight foundation layer so that it can be uniformized well with the color of the skin. And then if you have time, you can finalize everything by applying a free powder, which will optimize the holding of the concealer throughout the day.
Do you have other solutions to mitigate dark circles?
The skin around the eye is very delicate and fine, with an often difficult blood circulation. The color of the circle (which varies from yellow to dark gray) and its visibility depend on the metabolism and the lifestyle of each woman. It is therefore imperative to sleep enough, to avoid excess (alcohol, tobacco), to have a healthy diet and to drink a lot of water. Then, there are of course other alternatives to alleviate dark circles, such as masks to put in front of them, to irrigate blood and creams, to pose after your day care or after make -up removal, to treat dark circles daily. Another tip: I often recommend putting a little mother -of -pearl in the outer corner of the eye or on the internal tip in order to open the eye and “minimize” it. Finally, the last very effective little trick even if it is not very glamorous: it is anti-hemorrhoid cream. Indeed, applied in case of big fatigue or the day after celebrations, it has a soothing effect and decreases the dark circles!
