Cut any spot from any medium with this practical sheet. Blood, cuddly, fat, wine, rust, makeup, oil, ink, chewing gum …
Chewing gum
Pass an ice cube on the chewing gum by rubbing it on it. The chewing gum thus cooled will solidify, and it is then possible to take it off with a knife or a spatula. If there are traces of fat, use a trichlorethylene type solvent.
It is then possible in the same way to pass an iron on the spot by placing a piece of absorbent paper or parchment paper between the iron and the stain.
Blood stain
Here are some tips and tricks to remove a blood stain on various types of fabrics:
- On synthetic, try to clean by slowly rubbing with soapy water.
- On delicate fabrics (silk, wool), cover the damp starch stain, then gently rub the stain when the starch dried on the stain.
- On cotton type fabric and other natural fiber, plunge into cold water, then try to clean with soapy water not too hot, before rinsing (rinse with bleach so disobedient!).
Another method: dip quickly in cold water added with salt, then carry out normal washing. Oxygenated water is recommended in the dried traces.
Cittled and tar
Use scarlet water, or, failing that, spread butter on the stain, leave to act and clean with turpentine essence. Rinse and wash.
Wax
Scrape the spot to remove the excess wax, then apply a blotting paper (Sopalin type), and heat with an iron. The wax becomes liquid and will be absorbed by paper.
Glue
After removing the excess, the alcohol to burn or with a solvent recommended by the manufacturer are darkened.
Ink stain
Absorb the stain as much as possible with a blotter. Then according to the nature of the fabric:
- Cotton: 90 ° alcohol or water mixture + bleach
- Synthetic: apply lemon juice.
- Wool and silk: dilute and apply 1/3 of burning alcohol and 2/3 of water.
Fat
Do not use water. Remove excess fat and sprinkle with an absorbent product (talc, see flour). Leave to dry and dab with a mineral petrol degreaser product. Rinse and wear to washing.
Grassy
Rub with a cloth soaked in lemon juice on cotton and ammonia water or alcohol to burn, if the fabric is more fragile.
Makeup stain
Put the stained face of the fabric on a blotting and soaked upside down with 90 ° alcohol. If the stain is fatty prefer a “fat” treatment.
Mercurochrome stain
Dissolve with 90 ° C alcohol.
Moldy
Make a wash at high temperature (90 ° C) if the fabric allows, or use oxygenated water diluted with water and bleach.
Paint
Do not let dry and apply a solvent (type White Spirit). Consult the manufacturer’s indications.
Rusty
Prepare a water, salt, and lemon juice mixture and apply to the stain. Failing to use an anti -rust product.
Tomato stain
To make a tomato task leave, just have the stain stammered with a laundry soaked in milk (if the stain is recent)
Otherwise, it is then advisable to stamp with a mixture of water and bisulfite of soda (25g for 1L of water)
Red wine spot
To make a wine spot leave, there are several techniques. It is, among other things, possible to sprinkle the stain with salt, cornstarch, talc or soil of sommières, even flour but the most effective remains milk!
Then it is possible to let the stain dry, then stamp it with a cloth soaked in milk. Otherwise, it is also possible to wash cold stained clothes or 30 degrees (not beyond so as not to cook the stain).
- If the wine has just been overturned, sponge the wine with a clean cloth and then rub immediately with a sponge soaked in gas water.
- Vinegar or cold water can also be effective.
- For a carpet, favor the salt combination (in quantity!) + Warm milk (or vinegar).
- For a spot that dates from a few days on cream pants, 55% linen and 45% cotton: allow the stain to soak in a carbonated drink (type Perrier), then add cleansing gel (bathroom style) to bleach (no soap because it blues), you will have an impeccable result (cold wash of course).
Beer stain
- If the spot has just been made, the fabric should be washed immediately. Soak it in lukewarm water while waiting to switch it to the machine.
- On the colored fabrics, we can wash with vinegar water.
- On a carpet or carpet, first try to shampoo in soapy water. If necessary, wash with alcoholic water.
- On smooth surfaces (table, shelf, tiles …), apply absorbent paper to mop then wash with a sponge or a damp and warm cloth. If it is a wooden surface, mop well the surplus of water (dry cloth).
Non -alcoholic drink stain
- It is possible to mop at first the task with blotting paper
- Then tap the task with a water-alcohol mixture and then with diluted acetic acid (1/4. Rinse and let it dry. Repeat again if the task is still visible.
- It is also possible to use dry Marseille soap (that is to say by rubbing it directly on the task without water)
Ketchup stain
First, rinse with cold water to make all the surplus of ketchup leave. Impregnate the stain with white vinegar diluted up to 50%. Leave to act for several minutes. If the spot persists, soak the clothing stained in a bowl filled with pure vinegar for several hours.
Another method: dilute a volume of hot water and a volume of glycerin, soak an hour and then wash normally.
Oil stain or vinaigrette
Sprinkle the stain with an absorbent substance (cornstarch, baking soda, talc, salt …) which will attract the fat of the vinaigrette. In a second step, slightly brush the stain. Rinse.
Milk stain
To eliminate a stain of milk, simply rub the stain with a cloth soaked in diluted ammonia.
Tea stain
- If the stain is recent, it is possible to wash it simply with soapy water.
- If the stain is older, that is to say if it is dry, it must then wash it with the help of tiédie glycerin and soapy water.
- On synthetic and artificial materials, tea spots are cleaned with lemon juice. Please note, it is then essential to rinse quickly (otherwise, it can appear a trace of lemon).
A mixture of equal parts of white vinegar and 90 ° alcohol is also very effective.
Coffee spot
Different methods exist to remove a coffee stain. Here are some:
- Rub the stain with a mixture with equal quantities of water and white vinegar.
- Rub the stain with a mixture of water and lemon juice.
- Use to rub a mixture of lukewarm water and beaten egg yolk. Then rinse with lukewarm water.
- You can also use the good old Marseille soap with elbow oil.
- Apply a 90 ° water/alcohol mixture on the stain.
Soybean
Quickly rinse with ice water. Wash with soap, Marseille soap. If the stain persists, use white vinegar. Rub. Leave to act for an hour and rinse.
Sauce
- 1st method: rinse the task with ice water. Rub with glycerin and liquid soap. (It is possible to replace glycerin with white vinegar).
- 2nd method: Sprinkle the soda bicarbonate task (salt, or cornstarch …). Rinse with hot water.
Fruit juice
Moisten the fruit juice with hot milk (the more the milk will be hot and the more easily the stain will go easily). Repeat the operation as many times as necessary by spacing the various interventions of about 30 minutes. It is possible to replace the milk with vinegar or sparkling water. If the stain persists, it is advisable to rub the fabric with glycerin and then rinse with lukewarm water.
Butter stain
- On cotton, use soapy water or trichlorethylene.
- On a natural and color textile, use a mixture of water and ammonia.
- On the silk, sprinkle with talc, salt, cornstarch … brush gently so as not to damage the silk.
- On the wool, it is necessary to sprinkle with soil of Sommières.
Egg spot
Rinse abundantly with cold water. If the stain is dry, use bleach.
