A forgotten handkerchief in the machine causes damage to linen, but thanks to these tips, discover how to easily catch up.
It is a mishap that arrives at everyone. A paper cloth forgotten in a pocket, and it’s a whole clothes drum covered with white stuffed animals. Shirts, sweaters, pants … Any spring stem of tiny residues, difficult to remove. Do not panic: there are several simple methods to overcome these stuffed animals without damaging your clothes.
The best known solution remains the plush brush. It allows you to clean clothes one by one, once dry. You can also use a dry nail brush to slightly scrape the fabrics. A little more restrictive, this method requires patience, but it remains effective. The adhesive tape brushes offer a good alternative, especially for fragile textiles.
Another option, if you have a dryer: place the plush ball directly. Heat and friction will help detach residues. Be careful, however, to clean the filter well after use, under penalty of clogging the device.
For a manual, but fast method, take a slightly damp microfiber cloth. Gently pass it over the affected areas, rinsing it regularly. It’s simple, practical, and it allows you to recover parts without ironing by the machine.
Finally, for the most equipped – or the nostalgic for the old -fashioned linen – the clothespot can be formidable. Suspend your clothes and hit them vigorously on the outside: the stuffed animals will drop by themselves. A rustic, but always effective technique.
To prevent this kind of situation from reproducing, remember to adopt some simple reflexes: always check the pockets before launching a machine and favor fabric, washable and more resistant handkerchiefs. Not only will you avoid the damage on the linen, but you will also make a gesture for the planet. A little upstream effort that will save you precious time at the time of drying.
