Sometimes the future brides wear a false ring without knowing their finger, and it is at this precise moment that they realize the deception.
The engagement ring is one of the symbols of the commitment that the bride and groom will take with each other. And this promise is much more important than the price of jewelry. But not everyone has a big budget or want to spend too much money on a ring. There is no harm to that, as long as the one who offers this precious jewel remains honest on its origin. However, several future brides have realized that they wore a false engagement ring.
This is what Sarah Tonen says. After working in a jewelry store, she explains in a Tiktok video: “The number of false engagement rings that I spotted by selling jewelry is absolutely crazy”. At the time, she remembers having seen many customers who came to adjust the size of their engagement ring, a service offered for free for jewelry bought in her shop, or have her cleaned. Problem, a number of times, it turned out that the ring is actually … a false.
As a jeweler, Sarah Tonen easily spotted the “false” engagement rings. “You cannot change the size of a ring that is not made in a precious metal”she explains. Indeed, it is necessary to heat the metal to put the ring to the size of the client, and the metals which are not precious immediately degrade in contact with this strong heat. So she just couldn’t respond to customers’ demand and was forced to tell them the truth. “So the women entered (in the jewelry) with their ring, that their fiancé had sworn them to have bought in our store, and asked that their ring be given to the waist. Guess who should announce that this ring which had been” bought here “is a cube of zirconia (a synthetic mineral, editor’s note) on a gold -plated copper ring bought on Amazon“, Tiktokers testifies.
According to her, the women to whom she was to reveal this information were often “Pissed”and we understand them! “Personally, I do not think you had to buy a beautiful ring to give you back, I think you don’t need a ring at all. (…) These women became all red, shouted. They were embarrassed. And, frankly, if my fiancé had told me that he had bought a ring in a specific place and therefore that I went there to make it put in my waist, and that it was not that it was not that it was not that it was not. Not a real ring, I would be angry too.says Sarah Tonen.
A good number of Internet users shares his point of view in comments “Whatever the ring you buy, just don’t lie and do not put your wife in a situation where she could be embarrassed”comments on a user of the social network. “I sold jewelry for years … almost every day a man entered and asked for a box for a ring (no, we did not give it like that)”adds an old jeweler.
