Laura*, 37, alias @Mme_la.cpe on the networks, knows something about it: she has been the main education advisor (CPE) in a college in Ile-de-France for ten years. Today, the hours of glue have changed somewhat compared to those who knew the very old generations. “You should know that at a time of glue, we no longer have the right to give lines to copy, it is prohibited, since it is useless. And then, it’s a bit of a “stupid and nasty” punishment, she said. But then, what really do the students during a glue? “They must work either on their lessons or on educational work, it depends on what the person who stuck them asked. In any case, it is ideal”told us the CPE. Now, punishment must be educational, “She must be related to the stupidity made by the student so that he can understand his fault and no longer reproduce it”, details Laura.
Again, this is ideal, because the professional admits that in fact, it happens that the students punished do not do the work requested or that “The supervisor, although it is not at all his fault, struggles to have the discipline reign, especially when the time of deductions are late at night with a lot of students”. The CPE also recalls that one cannot force a college student if he refuses to write, “You have to make him understand that it is in his interest in doing so, which is not always easy.” And of course, if you doubt it, phones, tablets or even connected watches should not be used and released during the glues, on this point the rule has not changed!
