Véronique Jannot adopted two children with whom she has strong ties. But the 69-year-old actress admits that their relationship is sometimes tinged with tension…
Véronique Jannot is proud of her children, Migmar, a 28-year-old Tibetan woman whom she adopted in 2014, and Nyima, her cousin, 22 years old, who joined the actress’ family last year. But the actress doesn’t hide the fact that she sometimes has little problems with her children…
Véronique Jannot, frank about her children: “I can have fun with them…”
Véronique Jannot, her daughter Migmar and her son Nyima may well have a special relationship and very strong ties, but sometimes tensions arise on a daily basis. “I can fry with them sometimes“, she confided in Télématin, when she was invited to present her documentary Nature as a refuge which will be broadcast in June on France 3. But the actress considers that these little daily arguments are perfectly healthy and normal.
And if Migmar has “a strong character“, in the words of his mother, she appreciates this facet of his personality, which could be useful to him in his profession.”Besides, she wants to be a director and to direct, you have to have muscle so that’s good“, explained the 69-year-old star.
It must be said that Migmar’s life has not been a long, quiet river, far from it. “When you inherit a teenager who is in full development, in full rebellion and anger, it turns everything upside down. Migmar had three lives in one: she was born in Tibet, then she was a refugee, she lost her entire family in India then she discovered a different culture“, she also specified in Gala.
Véronique Jannot does not call herself “mom”: “That’s not how I feel”
As for his son, Nyima, he has a calmer temperament, but has also been left to his own devices for a long time. “His godfather never showed up. Ultimately, he was a child who was rather alone. But when he arrived in France, I really took care of him and I quickly became like his mother.“, she said in Telematin.
Véronique Jannot, recently eliminated from Mask Singerproclaims it loud and clear : she has “amazing kids“But if she raised Migmar for a good part of her life, since the actress met her in the early 2000s while she was involved in solidarity actions linked to Tibet and Nepal, she does not wish to be called “Mom“.
“That’s not how I feel. Somehow, our children do not belong to us. What’s up to us is to help them spread their wings“, she detailed. Despite everything, she considers herself a real mother and recently celebrated Mother’s Day with her two children.
