Casting members of the flagship series Dawson, In which he embodied the main character alongside Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson, had indeed organized a big charity in order to support the F*CK Cancer association, and thus collect donations for prevention against this disease.
Unfortunately, the one who embodied the famous Dawson Leery for six seasons had to cancel his arrival at the last minute. On his Instagram account, he explained that he was bed in his house in Texas after two intestinal viruses weakening it considerably. The actor still made a surprise appearance. In a video recorded beforehand, James Van der Beek appeared transformed, very weightless by his fight against cancer and the dug cheeks.

News from his health
Very weakened by the disease, James Van Der Beek had taken stock of his state of health last March, in a video on Instagram, returning in the past few months: “I could no longer be a husband useful to my wife. I could no longer be a father capable of getting his children, sleeping them and being present for them (..) I could not even take care of my land, because I was sometimes too weak to cut the trees when it was necessary …“”
