A blow for the one who has animated the program for seven seasons, Samuel Étienne. What to deprive him of part of his income?

Besides, the main interested party was quick to react. On July 1, the journalist and Streamer gave his opinion on the issue in lively On Twitch. The 54 -year -old animator said there was “No valid reason” to this unexpected deprogramming. “I will explain to you why it is not a good decision (…) It’s much more than a game, it is a creator of the link between generations”he then added perplexed.
And Samuel Etienne, who resumed the animation of this cult game in 2016 – succeeding Julien Lepers -, to deplore that the public service “Abandon his audience (…) of incredible loyalty and for whom the game had become an unmissable event”. This has the merit of being clear!

“I have two children (with his wife Helen, editor’s note), I have a mortgage like everyone else. I have to have money every month to pay all this “said Samuel Étienne in stride, still on Twitch. However, the television man has faith in the future: “I have confidence in my work capacity, I am a crazy work, so I’m going to work (…) I have a crazy chance of having Twitch, having this feeling of daily freedom and also having this economic model that makes me secure me.”
His only fear today: “No longer being able to support (his) family”. It must be said that the one who had been on permanent contract with France Télévisions since 2008, announced at the beginning of the year no longer being … The future of the emblematic figure of the PAF is therefore uncertain.
But Samuel Etienne is not financially complained and can now count on his income related to Twitch. “Today, I never said it, but I’m starting to make a living, both with Twitch as with television”, had he also revealed in a lively With Laura Felpin. And it is up to him to conclude: “As I have invested a lot on Twitch in recent years, I could live from it. Thanks to this incredible universe, you can live.”
