Before shining as a host and columnist, Delphine Wespiser was Miss France. But what does the 34-year-old young woman think of Hinaupoko Devèze, the one who became our new beauty queen last December?

Delphine Wespiser is great at animating Temptation Islandwhose new season is broadcast on W9 from January 20 at 9:25 p.m., be a columnist on the show Everything Beautiful Everything 9 and organize well-being retreats for women, she doesn’t forget where she comes from and what allowed her to get here today: the Miss France competition! But what does she think of our new beauty queen, Hinaupoko Devèze?

Delphine Wespiser: what she (really) thinks of the new Miss France

Delphine Wespiser proclaimed it loud and clear to us during an exclusive interview: she is won over by the charm of the 23-year-old Tahitian, elected Miss France 2026, on December 6. “I think she is very beautiful, she looks like a princess! She was one of my favorites and I feel like she has a good heart and is kind. And that is important“, she confided.

The native of Mulhouse, who was Miss France 2012, also wishes to highlight the commitment of Hinaupoko Devèze, which she finds essential: “I also really like the fact that she talked about mental health, it’s a real subject. It’s important to talk about it for children but also for men, for example, who still suffer from toxic masculinity.“.

Delphine Wespiser, this scene which deeply shocked her: “I should have reacted…”

This subject is particularly close to her heart and even more so since she witnessed a scene that shocked her. One day, while she was at the airport, the 34-year-old host came across a man who was with his son, aged around six. “The child was crying. The father was pulling him by the hand and, at one point, he stopped to talk to him. For my part, I was in a hurry, I couldn’t stop. He shook him and said, ‘Stop crying like a girl. When you’re a boy, you don’t cry‘”, she told us.

A scene that deeply shocked Delphine Wespiser. In shock, the one who is in a relationship again with Roger Erhart (who was diagnosed with cancer according to Paris Match) remained frozen, unable to intervene: “I should have stopped and said to him: ‘But yes, sir, a little boy can cry. Even a big one. But everything happened quickly and I didn’t react. I was just shocked, and I continued on my way“. And to add, with regret: “All day long, I thought about this little boy, who will grow up thinking that when you’re a boy, you don’t cry. I should have reacted“.
